PARKING – Do you park 8 times or more a year at Forestry Commission sites?

Forestry Commission – Forest of Dean Discovery Pass

SAVE Hassle & Money if you park 8 times or more per year at Forestry Commission car parks in the FOD

Cost of the Pass is £25 per year but I save at least £100 by getting a Discovery Pass – I use it a lot.

The number one reason for me to get this each year is I don’t have to think about having change for the parking machine, getting & displaying a ticket and I save money.

“Free” Parking for a year at: Beechenhurst Lodge / Mallards Pike Lake / Cannop Cycle Centre / Symonds Yat Rock / Wenchford.

The cost of parking at these sites in 2017 is Mar-Oct = £3.50 and Nov-Feb = £3.00

SAVE MONEY IF YOU PARK 8 TIMES OR MORE A YEAR

Parking 8 times can cost £28 (8 x £3.50)

Therefore if you have a Discovery Pass, on the 8th time you park you SAVE £3.00 and thereafter any time you park its effectively FREE.

If you use the pass 20 times in the year, 10 times when it should cost £3.00 and 10 times when it should cost £3.50, the cost of your parking without the Discovery Pass would be £65.00. So you will save £40 in parking!

Other good points

  • Buy it online or in person
  • Sticker for the car window and a card for your wallet / purse
  • The pass can be shared between 2 cars

LOCAL & NATIONAL DISCOUNTS are also available to card holders

For example……10% off Beechenhurst Café, 15% off Go Ape, 15% off Forest Holidays, 25% off Weston Arboretum, see website for a full list.
